Fight for THAT PLACE

“She’s here!”

“She has come!”

“Okay! Looks like she’s here!”

These are the thoughts of each and every one waiting for her. They know it’s time. Time to fight. Time to fight for that place in her.

So, as she approaches, everyone starts preparing for the battle. They pull their bags ahead, men and women, both. People with kids hold their hands and pull them ahead to make them stand in front of them, to make sure they win the battle for the place.

Women with long hair pull their hair ahead, letting it hang over their shoulders. They pull their duppattas and pallus, to hold them in the front. And, then they all await her.

The women and kids wait for her, standing there with all their belongings in the front. The men also wait for her, with their bags in the front, looking like a pregnant guy(no offence to those men, just a joke).

Slowly, she stops right at the ‘halt’.

And, then,……………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………….THIS IS MUMBAI LOCAL!!! (A/N: Shout this just like ‘This is Sparta’)

If you still don’t realize, then let me tell you, it’s not something anyone can do. Not many realize, but, it’s an ART to ride the Mumbai Local. You need the strength, guts and knowledge to ride the Mumbai Local Trains.

You are skilled if you can get into the Mumbai Local during peak hours.

You are an expert if you can get into the train and be able to stand on the side, leaning against the steel wall by the doors.

You are a master if you can get into the train at peak hours and get a seat.

And you are god if you can get into the train and be able to get a window-seat.

And here’s a complementary video, to state my point, attached with this post:

(I wrote this just for fun. It’s not always like this. So, don’t be scared. This is just the peak hour rush. And even if you are in a rush or hurry to get to some destination, it’s not advisable to climb into a running train. It can lead to injuries and even death, at times. So, be safe and ride safe, Mumbaikars.)
